I’m Johnny Konuk, founder of Mountain Kaz Catering.  It has been a dream of mine to provide the best service possible with the freshest ingredients.

 

Our goal is to meet your needs and likings by creating a menu unique for your special occasion.  

 

I started out in the restaurant business when I was 12 years old, working in a family restaurant.  I am originally from Turkey and have lived in the United States since 2018.  Crested Butte has been my home since 2020.

 

I started out in Crested Butte as a prep cook at Coal Creek grill working under the best chef I have ever met, Douglas Dodd.  I love being in the kitchen and creating memorable cuisine experiences for people.

 

Being from Turkey and living in Europe has taught me a lot about world cuisines, including everything from asian to european, and african cuisine to the food culture in America.  

 

At Mountain Kaz Catering we are not just cooking food and dropping it off at your house to feed you.  To me private catering is about sharing an experience.  We strive to use Mother Nature's goodness to create memories.  

 

To me private catering means that I get to be there and answer all your questions about the plates you are enjoying and ensure we provide the best experience possible.
